5 Activities to Consider for your Adventure Vacation

Adventure Vacation

A lot of people look for some adrenaline pumping activities especially when it comes to planning their vacations. For such people, an adventure vacation can be the perfect choice as it helps them do the things that they want to do. Contrary to popular belief, adventure trips are not unsafe or risky. Most tour operators and companies take proper precautions and meet safety standards to provide you with the best experience possible. If you are itching to go on an adventure vacation, here are some activities that you might want to consider that could give you the thrill that you’ve put on your bucket list.

Dive the Great Barrier Reef

Diving in the Great Barrier Reef offers the thrill and excitement that some are looking for. This activity can be experienced while on a trip to Cairns, Australia. If you decide to take a vacation here, you can enjoy diving and snorkeling at some of the best Great Barrier Reef locations. A cruise might be your best choice, where you will be served an Aussie Barbecue lunch as well. You can go on a supervised snorkeling tour or get lessons on scuba diving that will allow you to explore this amazing reef. If you are looking for adventure under the sea, this may be the perfect activity for you.

Whitewater Rafting

Another vacation activity that is popular with adventure enthusiasts is whitewater rafting. A full day whitewater rafting trip will be one of the best experiences you have on your adventurous trip. The most popular destinations for whitewater rafting include:

● Magpie River, Canada
● Salmon River, Idaho
● Futaleufu River, Chile
● Rio Upano, Ecuador

In most of these places, your raft will wind through thick forests while passing through Grade 4 rapids. This whitewater experience will leave you completely speechless. On a vacation to Alaska that my family and I recently took, we did some whitewater rafting and had an absolute blast.

Helicopter Tours

Flying in a helicopter over some of best scenery and mountains is another great way to go. Scenic helicopter tours over stunning and exotic places can allow you to experience a destination from a completely different perspective. While this may not seem as adventurous as other activities, to me is it as you’re hundreds of feet off the ground moving quickly through different places. The best places for a helicopter ride include Niagara Falls, the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Harbour, the Las Vegas Strip, San Francisco City as well as others.

Bungee Jumping

Bungee jumping allows you to have exquisite views of the beautiful rainforest, rivers or some other marvels of nature. As you jump from a high height, adrenaline will pump through your veins. The best places for bungy jumping include Queenstown, Border of Zambia, Macau, Ticino, Monteverde and Tatopani. If you have always wanted to go bungee jumping, it doesn’t get any better than doing it in an exotic locale.

Jungle Swing

Most have probably never heard of this activity before but it is a unique ride in which you fly through a rainforest. Jungle Swing is the best way to experience the thrill of flying through thin air. You can fly through the air solo, as duo or in a group of maximum three people. It will provide you with a ride that you will never forget. The Minjin Jungle Swing in Australia is one of the more popular ones if you are interested in doing this.

While planning an adventure trip, you can choose from a lot of activities to make the best of your travel experience. The important thing you need to do is figuring out what you want to do and finding the destinations that offer it.
