Make sure you also visit the Cueva de la Linea and Cueva de las Arenas caves located off the San Lorenzo Bay. You will have to take a boat trip to get there, but along the way you will get to enjoy the beauty of the area. Another interesting place to visit is the large island off the coast of La Altagracia province called Isla Saona. This island is a beautiful spot where you can spend the whole day exploring it. Those who are truly interested in plants can think about visiting the Tropical Plantation, which is a nursery with scores of exotic species to checkout.

The nightlife in Punta Cana is truly amazing. After a fantastic dinner at your restaurant of choice, it’s easy to find yourself dancing the night away to the fresh tunes of Merengue. The local bars and clubs in the area will make sure that you have a great time on your getaway.

Punta Cana has two primary shopping centers, Plaza Bavaro and Plaza Punta Cana, both having a wide collection of Dominican and Caribbean crafts and unique gift items like silver or hand made souvenirs, hand-rolled cigars, ceramics and rum.
