Of all the Islands in Thailand, Phuket is a must visit for anyone looking for an exotic destination.

Phuket. Thailand

Often referred to as the “Pearl of South”, Phuket is Thailand’s largest and most popular island. It is one of the most popular exotic destinations not only in Thailand, but also in the world, and with good reason. Located off the southwestern coast, this island is known for its’ stunning landscapes, impressive coastline, beautiful sandy beaches, endless turquoise waters. and vibrant culture. It is budget friendly too, meaning going on a vacation there will not break the bank.

Phuket’s main advantage is that there is always something for everyone to do, both on and off the island. In fact, the range of places to visit and activities to engage in, is quite remarkable for a destination of its’ size. For instance, a cruise along any of its’ beautiful beaches affords absolutely breathtaking views of stunning rock formations rising from the emerald waters. The island’s coastlines which are filled with lush foliage, also offer a variety of water sports, bars, and restaurants to suit different tastes and preferences.

In addition to that, Phuket offers a wide variety of activities for travelers looking for adventure. Some of the exotic Thailand adventures that await include, but not limited to; nature cruises using canoes, trekking through the jungles on the back of an elephant, kayaking through the secluded tropical caves, sportfishing for marlin, golfing, shopping, beach hopping, and much more.

Best Time of the Year To Visit Phuket

If you do not like crowds, you should avoid the months of January and February. However, if you do not mind sharing the beach with other people, it is a great time to meet other like minded travelers.

If you are on a budget and you prefer less crowds, you should consider traveling during the months of April to October. However, you should expect some rainfall in the early evening during this time, but it’s usually sunny most of the day.
