Things to Do While Vacationing in Bermuda

Bermuda Vacation

When you come to Bermuda, you’ll be able to lie along pink sandy beaches, visit the famous Snorkel Park at the Royal Naval Dockyard, have your choice of world renowned golf courses and tons of nature to explore too. If you’re a shopaholic or a fashionista, you’ll love Bermuda! Shopping here can get expensive, so make sure whatever you’re buying wasn’t imported first and you’ll be able to keep your costs extremely low. Around the Hamilton, Bermuda resorts you’ll find a lot of different boutiques to visit, but shopping isn’t the only thing you’ll find out here! Get out there and start exploring with snorkeling tours and the Bermuda Railway Trail. Everything from fun in the sun to luxury shopping and more are waiting for you.

Go Sightseeing

When you’re in Bermuda, you’ll want to go sightseeing! There are many different aquariums, zoos and museums, but the Crystal and Fantasy Caves in Bailey’s Bay is a great thing to check out. Devil’s Hole Aquarium is small but you can fish for turtles with bait (no hooks, you’ll be throwing them back afterwards). The Globe Hotel has a lot of interesting stuff from Bermuda’s history, and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute helps you get into the water in a REALLY safe way, great for those of us who have jitters.

Pink Beaches

One of the hallmarks of Bermuda are the pink sandy beaches that wrap the island in a soft foam! Horseshoe Bay Beach is the best known (if you’ve seen a picture of a Bermuda beach, it’s probably this one!) and has nice shallow waters that are great for snorkeling. Clearwater Beach, or Turtle Beach, is great for kids and has a playground. Elbow Beach is close to coco reef, and you’ll be able to go snorkeling here too. The beach scene in Bermuda is extremely laid back; if you’re at a singles or adults only resort make sure you check out a beach online to see if it has a playground, since this means you’ll be dealing with the kiddies all day.)

Go Exploring

Go exploring in Bermuda! The railroad was taken apart almost a century ago, but it was converted into walking trail and you can see some of the most beautiful parts of the island. There are also many different forts that you can go visit, but one of the best things you can do while visiting Bermuda is to just get outside and walk around.  There aren’t really natural parks like you find on the other islands, but there are many different tropical forests, sandy pink beaches and tiny out of the way places that are just waiting for you to find them.

Bermuda is incredibly safe, so you’ll be great to go wandering around during the day without worrying about running into trouble. Go rent a glass bottomed boat, go snorkeling or just relax. Bermuda is a great place to unwind, you just have to lay back and take it all in!
