Regent’s New Ship – Seven Seas Explorer
The Regent Seven Seas Explorer is an upcoming luxury cruise line. It is expected to make its debut in the summer of 2016. Upon completion, this luxury sea vessel will have a capacity of 750 passengers and will weigh 56,000 tons. Its launch will herald a new era in the cruise ship industry. It will be the first all-luxury cruise ship constructed in the last 10 years. The expected maiden voyage will set off on July 20th 2016.
About the Seven Seas Explorer ship
The Regent Seven Seas Explorer was ordered in 2013 and construction work on this luxury cruise liner started in 2014. Its owner and operator is Regent Seven Seas Cruises, a cruise ship company based in Miami, USA. The city of Miami is considered as the cruise ship capital of the world.
The cruise liner will have a staff of 650 crew members who will tend to the needs of all the guests onboard. It is under construction in Italy under the ship construction firm Fincantieri. The owners claim it will be the most luxurious ship to ever set sail.
Amenities aboard the Seven seas Explorer
The Seven Seas Explorer is an all-suite, all-balcony luxury vessel. It promises some of the most luxurious suites and fanciest restaurants aboard any cruise liner. Suites will incorporate quality fabrics and stonework with large windows offering excellent views of the sea. Each cabin will have a custom built grand piano and a sunroom encased in glass. There will also be a spa built into the cabin’s large bathroom that has amazing views of the sea.
There will be a number of gourmet restaurants aboard offering international cuisines, gourmet meals and 5 to 7-course meals. Some of the notables include Prime 7 Steakhouse, Verandah Café and the Compass Rose.
Onboard entertainment and destinations
The onboard theater, the Constellation Theater, will host a number of activities throughout each day. These include nightly performances, cooking classes and concert recitals. There is an onboard spa, the Canyon Ranch Spa, that will be luxuriously furnished with excellent finishing and will feature sea colors. Guests will receive free classes at the spa including cycling, yoga and piles. There will also be a gym with weights, treadmills and so much more.
The Regent Seven Seas Explorer will spend its maiden voyage along the Mediterranean. It will set sail from cities such as Barcelona, Lisbon, Athens, Monte Carlo and head for Western Caribbean, eastern Mediterranean, Central America and Los Angeles. Travelers will definitely enjoy a memorable voyage on such a luxurious cruise liner.
