Our 9 Favorite Disney Tips

Stay on Property

There’s nothing like staying on property and being able to take the little ones back to nap so the bigger kids could swim in the resort pool for a bit. Downtime is CRUCIAL to avoiding meltdowns for everyone. Disney is a whole lot of walking, a lot of stimulation, and everyone needs a mid-day break of some sort.

Get a PhotoPass

There are professional photographers around each park in the best locations for family photos. It ensures amazing pictures of your trip with everyone in the picture, and that’s worth a lot. Better yet? Ask the professionals to use your own camera!

Use the App

The My Disney Experience mobile app can give you current wait times at attractions and character greetings in the park. Use the map view to find nearby dining venues, restrooms, and other amenities. Don’t worry about being locked into your plans. When you’re at Walt Disney World, you can use the app to change your FastPass+ and dining choices on the fly.

ID Younger Kids

For a younger child or one with limited verbal skills, a basic ID tag with the child’s name and your cell phone number will be a big help in case your child were to become separated from you at the parks.

Prepare to Carry the Kids

At Disney World, little ones will likely ask to be carried more than they normally do. The fun and excitement of Disney can be overwhelming for some, causing them to be worn out easier .

Get Up and Out Early

Love sleeping in when you’re on vacation? Sorry. When you’re at Disney World, it’s important to resist the temptation to hit the snooze button and be an early riser instead.

Disney Vacation Planner

You can read all the blogs, download all the apps, and set all the alarms, but there’s no doubt it’s a little easier if you have an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help you through things.

Advance Dining Reservations

Disney restaurants are an important part of the Walt Disney World experience. can be booked 180 days in advance. You’ll want to pick your restaurants as early as possible and then look into booking them. And keep your eyes on slots you can’t get immediately, as they may open up.

Disney’s MagicBands

Once arriving on site at Disney, MagicBands are tools to unlock many features of that high-tech vacation experience. These small waterproof bands are made of flexible plastic embedded with an RFID chip, and fit around guest wrists.
