Overall it was an excellent trip and met every expectation. Would definitely recommend to others. The only unfortunate experience was that both my husband and I fell victim to severe stomach issues. We made sure we only drank bottled water, and we were very careful of our food selections. In addition, we met six other people during our stay and out of the eight of us combined, FIVE of us encountered the same issues. A little too ironic. We have all traveled out of the country before and have been to Mexico several times in the past. Never had these issues.
Room was very nice and kept very clean
Swimming pools were excellent. Clean, refreshing, beautiful
Excellent beach. White powder sand, quiet, beautiful clear blue waters
Plenty of activities if interested. Not too pushy to get involved if you choose not too.
Restaurants were excellent. Quality of food great, service was top notch. Bars equally good. Choice of alcohol was terrific. Plenty of name brands and quality liquor to choose from.
Somewhat quiet. The shows every night were entertaining and there was one night club of sorts. Most of the grounds were very quiet at night.
We did the Zip-lining tour. Very fun and worth the money. The only downside was the trip to the mountain. It wasn't expressed how long the trip would take. You have to stop at several other hotels and pick up guests before you take the hour trip to the destination. For people not wanting to be gone a 6 hour day, this could be deceiving.

We were booked through FunJet and purchased airport transfers. Our flight home was at 3:50pm. We checked with the rep at the hotel the day before and he said our pick up was at 1:30. We thought that was a little late but since we were 30 minutes from the airport it seemed reasonable. Our driver was late to pick us up. He apologized and said there was traffic. We had to stop at another hotel before the airport. We arrived at the airport after 2:30. the lines were very long. We had business clso we got to the front of check in but the security line was so long. We were in line, filling out forms (why didn't we get them on the charter flight there?) and stressing over the slow moving line. We finally got through security, got our shoes on and immediately boarded our plane. What a stressful way to end a wonderful vacation. the airport was a zoo. People everywhere. Is it possible they are timing the pick up of people so they are not sitting around the airport since it is so crowded? I guess the quaint Punta Cana of 7 years ago is long gone. We were there about 4 years ago and it was still quite manageable. Now the drive to the airport was road construction, people, traffic and other congestion.
Nice, not overally large, limited storage space.
Good
Beautiful beach, could walk for miles, water a little rough for swimming
did not participate, I do wish the Star Friends would understand not all guests want to participate or be bothered with the silly games.
The buffet was the best and we do not normally enjoy an evening buffet dining experience. We enjothe buffet food, service and atmosphere better than the a la carte restaurants.
We do not do much more than dine and have a drink before bed so I can't comment.
Did not do any.
