If you like pulsating rock music from the 60′s, 70′s and beyond then the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is for you!!! This resort offers non stop fun with action 24 hours a day!!!
The Hard Rock is a huge resort on over 120 acres with over 1700 rooms, but it never feels overcrowded like you cannot move. This could be because there are multiple restaurants with both sit down options and buffets. There are also huge pool areas with at least 15 pools and a long beach where you can catch some sun or take a dip in the ocean.
The rooms are all large (approximately 850 square feet) with either a king bed or 2 doubles with most having a jacuzzi tub in the room. All have either a patio or balcony depending on what floor you are on. The beds are wonderfully fluffy and so relaxing!!!
The food at this resort was excellent. We ate at the Steakhouse, the Buffet Restaurant, the Japanese Restaurant and the smaller American Café. The Japanese Restaurant is their premier establishment with the teppanyaki tables where they cook everything in front of you. The cook and waiter makes this so much fun and it’s great if you have a party of 10 or more. The Steakhouse was wonderful with fabulous steaks but you could also get fish, salads and wonderful deserts. The buffets were large with a wonderful variety of food from sushi, salads, hot and cold choices and a huge dessert station. Also a small 24 hour room service menu is available if you’re interested in that as well.
The pools at Hard Rock Punta Cana are everywhere (one even shaped like a guitar) and they do have golf carts to take you between the various buildings, pools, and restaurants.
If you are a spa person, this is the place for you. While the cost is extra, it is one of the largest spa’s in the Caribbean with many treatments rooms, showers, and pools all in a soothing, quiet atmosphere.
The Hard Rock does have a nice casino with a sports book, which is really unusual for a casino in the Caribbean. Also you will be able to find many shops with various merchandise from Hard Rock, Swarovski and Pandora. There are also smaller souvenir shops right down the corridor from the restaurants that you could check out as well if you’re looking to bring home gifts for friends and family.
One of my favorite things about this resort was all of the Rock and Roll Memorabilia!!! Truly a fascinating look at a huge part of recent history. If you want to take an electric guitar to your room and learn to play, they provide it with an amp and headphones(so as not to disturb the other guests)!!! And if you want to be more public with your musical skills you can always sing along to karaoke on stage and even one night with a live band!!!
Everyone is welcome here from singles, couples and families with kids!!! The Hard Rock has resort credits which you can use towards golf, spa and tours and offer a dedicated concierge who will sit with you to discuss the various options. Most importantly the staff is out of this world helpful, kind and polite and willing to help you with what you need.
Hard Rock is a fun, exciting place which could be perfect for your once in a lifetime vacation experience!!!
