HAWAII LOA PRESIDENTIAL VILLA

In Hawaiian legend, Hawai’i Loa discovered the Islands and was their first king – with Hualalai as his queen. In kingly fashion, the majestic three-bedroom villa that bears his name is set apart, right on the oceanfront. Watch the sun set over the Pacific, or catch the seasonal migration of humpback whales. Displayed in the villa, feather work by indigenous artist Natalie Mahina Jensen-Oomittuk reflects the feather cloaks, capes, helmets and kahilis (wands) worn by Hawaiian ali’i (royalty) to represent their ancestors’ spiritual essence.

MAKALOA VILLA

Experience romantic seclusion in this three-bedroom private villa, nestled among gardens at the edge of the picturesque Waiakauhi Pond. Exuding the comfort and ambiance of a Hawaiian beach home, the villa is named after the makaloa plant. This area was once known for intricately woven sleeping mats produced for Hawaiian chieftains – an art that lives on in the mat by famed weaver Elizabeth Lee, which is among the original artworks on display throughout the villa.
