Relax and Explore Kauai

In Kauai, you’ll be able to go relax in some of the beautiful spas in the resort hotels, as well as locally and independently operated. Get the star treatment and pamper yourself like crazy with beautiful views and soothing hands that melt the worries away. Another great way to relax is to lay along the beaches and get a beautiful tan, or rest under a shady palm or umbrella when you’ve had enough.

Adventure is in no short supply here, and you’ll be able to find things to do both on land and in the water. Scuba diving is pretty accessible, and there are many wrecks from the late 1800s and WW2 that you can visit. Snorkeling is a great alternative for those of us who don’t want to get too deep down, and you can swim with the dolphins at different times of the year too! In the late winter and spring you’ll be able to check out whale watching; while you won’t be able to swim with the whales, you’ll be able to get great shots!

Incredible Edibles

If you’re a foodie, you’ll be in heaven in Kauai! If you want to check out some of the more expensive restaurants, you need to make sure they don’t or do have a dress code so you can dress appropriately (nothing hurts more than a lost hard fought reservation). There are also casual dining restaurants with more laid back atmospheres that offer a taste of the land and sea. Check out Poke, a sushi type salad made of all local and fresh ingredients that can’t be missed! For dessert, make sure you try out some of the fresh fruit tarts so you can really get a taste of Kauai.

Enjoy the Nightlife

Nightlife in Kauai will range from the big party bars in the resorts to the laid back lounges that cater to locals and visitors alike. Try local drinks like Pupus, Coconut Margaritas and even CoMix where the drinks are mixed up right in the coconut with a straw! Sit along the beach at a bonfire and enjoy the company of old and new friends, with colorful drinks that don’t disappoint. Kauai offers a great introduction of all the fun Hawaii provides, and it’s just a short hop away from its sister islands too and is a place you should visit for your vacation!

Daytime temperatures range from the mid-70s to mid-80s, slightly warmer in the summer. The northeast trade winds provide refreshing breezes; rain usually falls only during the evening and early morning hours.
