Visit Grand Cayman

When you choose the Cayman Islands for your vacation, you’ll have a trip filled with excitement or relaxation; this chameleon of a holiday spot gives you just about everything you need to build the getaway you’ve been dreaming of for almost any taste! If you’re an adventure lover, you’ll love a trip to Stingray City; here you can swim with the stingrays and pose them (but only after they’ve been fed!). You can also go on tours and swim along the Great Barrier Reef just off the coast; if you’re feeling ironic go to Hell, the tiny little island with a post office where you can send friends and family postcards! Enjoy gourmet dining experiences that give you unparalleled luxury and a fun quick bite to eat, all in the same places. Nightlife can be as glittery as it can be laid back, and you’ll be able to find the right place to match your taste. Here’s a taste of what’s waiting for you in the Caymans.

Activities to do in the Cayman Islands

Go swim with the stingrays, swim along the barrier reef and lay along white sandy beaches that make this place the playground of the rich! You’ll be able to take a submarine ride deep down (a whopping 12 to 20 feet) and see how the other 80% of the world lives. There are different festivals that happen in the spring and fall, so you’ll want to check them out; festivals usually don’t happen when it’s hurricane season but you shouldn’t be visiting then anyway! While you’ll find a bunch of activities in the water, you’ll also find a bunch of stuff to do on land. Shopping is great here, and you can find jewelry made out of the islands own semi-precious stone caymanite as well as black lava rock.

Great Places to Eat

Dining in the Caymans can range from fabulously expensive to cheap and fast. You’ll find fun restaurants like Chicken! Chicken! and the Cracked Conch by the Sea has a cute nautical theme that’s fun for families and couples. If you’re here as a guest of an all-inclusive resort hotel you’ll be able to eat for free as part of your package, sampling tastes from all over the world at a fraction of what you’d spend outside the resort hotels.

Enjoy the Nightlife

Nightlife in the Caymans is great, but you’ll want to stick to Grand Cayman for the best parties. There are about a dozen great bars along the beaches and you’ll be able to meet tons of new friendly people. If you’re looking for that exclusive club experience, you’re going to want to check out the clubs of Seven Mile Beach like The Attic and O Bar (O Bar is extremely ritzy). The Corner Pocket is great for gaming and drinking, and there are so many other places you can check out along the way.

You’ll find so much to do here, and all you have to do is get out and start exploring what the Caymans have to offer you for your next vacation!

The Caymans are warm in the summer when the average daily high reaches 85°F (29°C). Winter is drier and cooler, with average daily highs of 75°F (24°C).

GRAND CAYMAN DINING

Dining in the Caymans will bring you a lot of options! Here you’ll be able to enjoy delicious meals that range from free (when you’re a guest of one of the all-inclusive resorts) to lavish. Chicken! Chicken! is a great place to get a bite to eat by the seaside without spending a lot of money. Cimbico is a great medium ranged restaurant where you can sample all kinds of Caribbean foods made fresh from scratch. If you’re looking to splurge a little, you’ll want to pop by Bacchus Restaurant and Wine Bar; here you can enjoy inventive dishes like lobster quesadillas and other fun fish dishes for under $30 a head. Hemingway’s is great if you’re looking for real outdoor fine dining, and you’ll be able to enjoy great dining for $10 to $30 a person. If you’re looking for free dining, you should check out the resort hotels; when you’re a guest you’ll be able to eat for free as part of your package! However you choose to go dining in the Caymans you’ll find a great way to explore the tastes of the Caribbean.

Enjoy Local Flavors

There are a wide range of local flavors for you to choose from, all you have to do is get out there and start finding them! You’ll find a great place to eat at Neptune’s in West Bay, with its great food and fun décor (and you won’t have to spend a lot of money either!) Cracked Conch by the Sea has great seafood with a nautical theme, and you’ll the Reef Grill at Royal Palms has some fun food to eat! You’ll just have to walk along the beach and find the right place for you to eat, and just because it’s by the sea doesn’t mean you’ll have to spend a bundle.

Relax with Resort Dining

When you’re the guest of an all-inclusive Cayman island vacation resort, you’ll never have to pay extra for a great meal! All you have to do is pick the right restaurant (many of the resorts will have more than one restaurant to choose from) and choose what meal you’d like to try out today. If you’d like to try out a meal at a resort you’re not staying with, you’ll have to pay so you should make a little budget allowance for restaurants outside of your resort to try.

Splurge

Splurging is what a Caribbean luxury vacation is all about, and there is no shortage of place to splurge here. You’ll want to try out Casanova’s by the Sea with its romantic atmosphere and Seaharvest with its great Indian and West Indies cuisine. Corita’s Copper Kettle isn’t exactly splurge material, but they make a wicked turtle stew.

Dining out in the Caymans is all about finding the right taste for you. Don’t be afraid to explore a wide range of options! The world has touched the islands and you’ll be able to find everything you could ever want just a few minutes from your suite!

GRAND CAYMAN NIGHTLIFE

When you come to the Caymans, you’ll want to check out the vibrant thriving nightlife scene! You’ll find bars and nightlife up and down the beaches and in the centers, but depending on how you want to party you’ll want to check out different places. Grand Cayman is the best place to party, so you’ll want to make sure you’re there when the sun goes down. My Bar at Sunset House is a great bar with a thatched roof, and you’ll be able to get an outdoor beach party experience. If you want a really lively outdoor party experience you’ll want to check out Coconut Joes on Seven Mile Beach; it’s one of the best party bars on the island and you’ll be able to party until the sun comes up. Legendz is from people who are looking for a sports bar and good drinks, it’s super lively. If you’re looking for a lounge experience, check out the Sapphire Lounge; here you’ll be able to try over 350 drinks. For more fun outside the bar scene you’ll want to try O Bar for a more fun youthful vibe. However you choose to enjoy nightlife during your Cayman island vacation, you’ll find something fun to do!

Glitz and Glam

If you’re looking for a taste of the good life, you’ll want to check out the nightlife club scene. There’s the O Bar on Seven Mile Beach, and you’ll find a more under 30 crowd here. The Attic is also on Seven Mile Beach (most of the clubs are) and runs from the 20-35 crowd, and the Sapphire Lounge has a great martini bar atmosphere where you can chill out and have a great drink. It’s a little on the ritzy side, so make sure you’re wearing nice clothes when you go in. The Corner Pocket has a great selection of billiards (pool, snooker, etc.) so if you’re looking for a little gaming added to your nightlife, you’ll want to make sure you check out this place!

Resort Clubbing

When you’re the guest of an all-inclusive resort hotel, you’ll be able to drink and dance all night long without worrying about a cover charge. These can be a great way to party without having to spend a lot of money on your partying experience, but you’ll want to hop from one to another to have a real experience.

Party Bars

Party bars are all up and down the beach; the world is your oyster! My Bar at Sunset House has a great open air atmosphere, and you’ll also want to check out Fidel Murphy’s Irish Pub for a real Irish pub experience! The Pirates Den Pub and Restaurant gives you the British pub experience where you can enjoy some soccer. Legendz is also a great bar to see!
You’ll want to just wander around and see which bars are right for you; there are so many options and it all boils down to exploring and finding the right place.
