Fun Under the Aruba the Sun
One of the best things you can do when you’re out in Aruba is to hit the beach! With dozens of beaches to choose from (including a nude beach for the more adventurous traveler, with CLEARLY marked signs so you don’t accidentally walk into one if that’s not your thing) that range from private and tranquil to public and where the party’s at, you’ll never have to look hard for a good time. Have you ever wanted to go and explore the beauty of marine life without getting wet? Take a glass bottomed boat out to the coral reefs and see it all, staying dry and happy in the boat! If you want to get out there and explore the water, there’s plenty of excursion companies that will get you out in the water, complete with gear rentals and a quick training session; from scuba diving around 19th century wrecks to snorkeling in the warm tranquil waters around the reefs, you’ll have fun at the right level.
Eat Amazing Food in Aruba!
You’re on vacation, why count calories? From sweet decadent treats that will be a treat for your taste buds, to quick and casual grills snacks on the beach, there’s something for every foodie to explore here in Aruba. The seafood is fresh and delicious, just the way it’s meant to be enjoyed; if you’re craving a steak, try some great aged imported Argentinian meat that’s among the finest in the world. Many of the resort hotels have five star restaurants with renowned chefs that are pushing the envelope.
Enjoy the Nightlife
The crown jewel of an Aruba vacation is the nightlife; why settle for great food and pretty beaches when you can have the complete package? If you’re not into huge party clubs that run until dawn, you should head to the casinos! Most are European style gambling establishments, but you’ll find a few Vegas style casinos with nightly shows where you can be entertained and have a world class dinner all at the same time! If you want to get out on the water, take a dinner or drinking cruise and watch the sun slip below the horizon!

Activities
ACTIVITIES IN ARUBA
Activities in Aruba can run the gambit from your usual beach activities to more exciting stuff in the water. If you’re not a big fan of getting out in the water, there’s plenty of on land fun to explore too! When you come to Aruba for your destination wedding and honeymoon, you’ll be able to go sailing on the open water in a rented yacht for a luxurious experience, or have some intimate romantic fun kite surfing! Sea treks and kayaking are also popular, going along the pristine shore for a real romantic experience; you can also go snorkeling and fishing, and even take a ride in a real submarine to get a view of sea life. For the fun on land, you can take jeep safaris through the wild part of the island, go rock climbing on the cliffs, ride in a dune buggy along the beach and go horseback riding along the beach at sunrise or sunset.
Lay in the Aruba Sun
One of the best things about an island wedding is that you get great world class beaches to choose from! From Baby Beach that’s great for wading, snorkeling and sun bathing to Palm Beach with some of the finest white sands you’ll find on any island. If you want to go windsurfing, you’ll want to go to Hadikurari Beach and Andicuri is good for surfing. Palm beach’s and Druif Beach’s warm calm waters are better for going snorkeling and for a swim, and Boca Catalina is THE place you want to go snorkeling with a lot of colorful fish. If you’re looking for pebble beaches, you can check out Surfside Beach; it’s quiet and great for romantic excursions.
Get Out in Aruba
When you’re staying at a resort or just getting around the island during your Aruba destination wedding and honeymoon, you’ll be able to find a lot of different things to do. The first thing any couple on Aruba should do is go horseback riding; you’ll be able to ride right on the white sugary beaches at dawn or dusk and get the ultimate romantic experience. Jeep safaris through the jungles will give you a great view of the island, and you can go hiking and rock climbing too. If you’re into cycling or 4 wheeling, you’ll find plenty of trails and beaches that are just for getting crazy dirty in!
Aruba Shopping
Aruba is a Mecca of shopping in the Caribbean, and with their great import and export duties you’ll be able to get a bargain on all sorts of things for your new married life. Everything from glass, linens, fine china and even furniture can be bought here, but try and stray from the most touristy areas (you’ll spot the foot traffic) so you can get great deals. If you’re not sure where to go shopping, ask the concierge for suggestions about where the good places to shop (especially clothes boutiques!) are and they’ll help you out.
Aruba has so much to offer you might have to come back more than once to make sure you get the full experience! Check out the other tabs above to find more things to do in nightlife and dining.
Dining
ARUBA DINING
When you’re looking for the best food this side of the Atlantic, Aruba is your best bet!! Here you can indulge in rich and decadent desserts like crème brûlée, have surf and turf and everything in between. If you’re searching for luxury dining, you’ll want to walk along the waterfront and see what Aruba has to offer. When you’re looking for a familiar taste, you can walk around the resort areas and find Burger King, KFC and other fast food to give you a taste of home. You’ll want to check out your resort if you have an all inclusive package (it’s the best deal), since your meals will come free. Many of the best restaurants on the island will be in the resorts, so you can eat for free if you’re a guest! Have your choice of Caribbean food, Greek, Spanish, Continental (European), as well as Asian and Middle Eastern food and fusion combinations that will simply amaze you. Why just have a vacation when you can have a real culinary experience in Aruba?
Take a Dinner Cruise
There’s nothing more relaxing than going out on the water as the sun is setting, eating great fresh seafood that was caught the same day! Watch the sun dip over the horizon while eating surf and turf, decadent desserts that never disappoint and enjoy live music where you can meet new friends and fellow travelers. Why just eat out when you can get out there and enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean?
Go Local
While there are many chain restaurants, the point of a vacation is about exploring something new! You’ll want to walk around and see what you can find, but you can also ask the concierge and check online to see what little spots have the best food for you to try out. The best will of course be Caribbean (and some offer Afro-Caribbean too), as well as Jamaican and other spicy little treats that will make the trip worthwhile. Be sure to make sure the food is locally sourced and not flown in, and the costs will be kept down. Just make sure you leave the resort areas to find the good food, and if the building looks expensive the food inside probably is too! Aruba has local foods that fit every budget, just use common sense and you’ll find it all.
Get Out in the Open
One of the best features that Caribbean islands have is the open air grills. These let you experience the sea up close and personal! If you’ve been on a deep sea fishing trip, you’ll be able to bring in your fish and have it cooked up for your right there. Other than that, you can try out Caribbean style BBQ and enjoy a fresh taste that you’ve never tried before.
Dining in Aruba has much to offer, you just need to get out there and explore to find the right taste for you! From expensive and indulgent to quick and greasy, you’ll find it here.
Nightlife
ARUBA NIGHTLIFE
Aruba is renowned all over the world for it’s fantastic nightlife! From the glittering casinos that hang high above the waterfront, to the great dance clubs and party bars all over the island, you’ll find no shortage of fun stuff to do at night. The spring break crowd can be a little wild, so the further away you get from the resort hotels the more crazy it can get. Most resorts themselves will have awesome clubs, and if you’re a guest you’ll drink and party there for free. If you want to do something a bit more exotic, you can go out onto the water with one of the drinking cruises (sometimes advertised as “booze cruises” or “party cruises”) and pay a fat fee to drink for a few hours and meet new people. Whichever way you choose to spend your nights in Aruba, you’ll find something that fits your tastes and your budget! Why not give this little party island a whirl and experience the best the Caribbean has to offer with Aruban vacation resorts?
Casinos
Casino life here is alive and well, and you’ll have your choice in gambling establishments! While many of them will be geared more towards European style gaming (roulette, poker, etc.) but they’ll have slots and blackjack too with Caribbean twists that keep the games interesting. You might want to ask the table the rules before you start so you don’t lose your shirt, but testing your luck is as easy as getting a drink and grabbing a seat at the table!
Dance ‘Til Dawn
No matter what time of year you’re in Aruba, you’ll be able to have a great time in the club scene. It’s concentrated around the resorts and casinos, but you’ll find others along the waterfront that are independently owned and operated. When you’re trying to find the right club for you (and your friends if it’s a group trip!), you should sign up for the pub crawls. These will give you a better chance of exploring all the best clubs for a good price, and you’ll have a guided tour so you won’t get lost in the crowd.
Dinner and a Show
Each casino will have nightly shows, and you’ll be able to get a great gourmet meal in the process. Have a delicious steak and lobster, with decadent desserts and yummy colorful drinks that keep coming. Loud shows and cabaret that goes into the night, and there’s never a push for you to get out after the show is over. If you’re a guest of the resort, you’ll get discounts on tickets to the shows, and some even give you free tickets! One of the fun twists on the dinner and a show is the buffet, check out them if they have them but try to be courteous when you’re going back for another plate.
