Top Family Friendly Resorts in Hawaii

One of the more popular spots for a family beach vacation is Hawaii. Home to famous places like Waikiki and Diamond Head, Hawaii is a great spot for a family vacation. When I get a chance to take a vacation with the family in Hawaii, one thing that I never need to worry about is finding a family friendly resort as there are so many to chose from. If you are thinking about taking a vacation to Hawaii, here are some resorts you may want to consider.

If you plan on visiting the island of Oahu, one of the best family resorts is the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Located right on the beach of Waikiki, this resort is home to a lot of different amenities that your family will enjoy. This hotel has 3 pools, a lagoon and also a private beach where you can have some fun in the Pacific ocean. The last time my family stayed here, the thing that my kids enjoyed the most was the penguin habitat. Here you get up close and personal with penguins that swim and walk around in their enclosure.

Another family friendly resort that you may want to check out if you’re vacationing on Oahu is the Aulani. Located on the west side of the island in Ko Olina, this is the first and only Disney resort in Hawaii. The Aulani has a lot of great pools and a private beach to check out that your kids will enjoy. Another thing that your family will enjoy while staying at this resort is the ability to have breakfast with your favorite Disney characters. If you want to do this though, I recommend making a reservation as soon as you can as it does get very busy.

A third family friendly resort to consider for your Hawaiian vacation on the Big Island is the Hilton Waikoloa. If there was ever such a thing as a mega family friendly resort, this would be it. Located near Kona, the first thing that your kids will enjoy is taking a monorail to your rooms. This resort is so big that there is a monorail and boats that help you get from one end to the other. This resort also has a lot of great pools that are targeted not only for kids but also for adults so you can have some quiet time with your significant other. You will also enjoy a salt water lagoon where you can rent kayaks or just jump in for a swim that has all types of fish as well as turtles that you can enjoy swimming with. If your kids want to swim with something a little bigger, the Hilton Waikoloa also offers a dolphin experience where you get the opportunity to swim with dolphins.

If you are planning a family vacation to Hawaii, these are just some resorts you may want to consider staying at.
