Some of My Favorite Cruise Destinations

Some of My Favorite Cruise Destinations

Cruise Destination

When taking a vacation, there are a lot of options to chose from that include the destination you visit, as well as the type of package you book. For me, one of my favorites is going on a cruise. For my honeymoon, my husband and I took a cruise vacation to the Caribbean on Disney Cruises and had an absolute blast the entire trip. One of the reasons why I love going on cruises is because it allows you to see different destinations easily on one trip. While on vacation a “regular” vacation you very rarely get the chance to visit other destinations. On a cruise, you can make port in multiple destinations allowing you to explore new areas.

With there are so many different places you can take a cruise vacation to, one of my favorites is Alaska. For those that think going on a cruise to Alaska would be too cold, don’t worry as most ships only go during the summer months, which means the weather isn’t that bad. If you have never had the chance to visit Alaska, it really is the nation’s last frontier and is a beautiful place. While on a cruise, you are able to go on different excursions in the city you make port in and in Alaska one activity we did was a canoe ride down a river. If you go on an Alaskan cruise and this activity is available, I highly recommend booking it. On our ride, we got to see all types of animals in the area, including bears and a bald eagle. If you love nature, Alaska is probably the best spot for you.

Another destination that I enjoy taking a cruise vacation to is Europe. A couple years back I was able to go with my family, as we were having our family reunion and I must admit that this is one of the best ways to see Europe. With the ship making port in great destinations in Europe, I was able to visit all of the destinations I wanted to visit. Out of all of the destinations that I have taken a cruise to, Europe was the most expensive as you also need to pay a lot for your airfare to get there. If you are able to afford it, you possibly will get the chance to visit destinations like Italy and have a trip that you will never forget.

The third destination on my list for best places to go on a cruise vacation is the Caribbean. Like I mentioned already, I spent my honeymoon on a cruise here and loved it. The great thing about a Caribbean cruise is the fact that you get to visit so many great beach destinations, so if you love laying out and getting some sun, this is the type of cruise for you. Another thing that I enjoyed about taking a cruise to the Caribbean is the shopping. In most ports, there are a lot of local merchants with interesting crafts that will try to sell you things, sometimes aggressively, as soon as you get off the ship.

If you have never had the chance to take a cruise before, I highly recommend doing it and considering one of these destinations for it.
