Best Beaches in St. Lucia
In a place such as St. Lucia, it is hard to believe that there are any bad beaches to visit while on vacation. St Lucia has always been known as one of the better spots in the Caribbean for a beach vacation as it offers so many different ones to checkout while visiting. With there being a lot of beaches you can checkout during your vacation in St Lucia, there are certainly beaches that stand above the others when it comes to safety, cleanliness, water conditions, and just overall fun factors. Here are some of our picks for the best beaches in St. Lucia that you might want to consider checking out:
Jalousie Beach – Best for those looking for crystal clear water
When you think of a tropical paradise like St Lucia, you expect to see crystal blue water that almost looks like a screensaver. If you are looking for a beach with crystal clear water, I recommend checking out Jalousie. Jalousie is the beach of choice for snorkelers, scuba divers, and boaters who love to see the natural beauty underneath the water. The beach sits between Gros and Petit Piton, two volcanic peaks that make this a favorite for photographers.
Pigeon Island National Park – Best for people who want some quiet
This state park is one of the best for those who want to get away from the crowded beaches and are looking for something more secluded. The beach sits on the north end of the island and is a great place for swimming and sunbathing. It also doubles (if you are traveling with someone who doesn’t love beaches) as a historical trip, as you are able to see the historic Fort Rodney ruins and visit a small museum. The beach still has amenities you can checkout while visiting that includes two places to eat and a bar.
Grande Anse – Best for nature lovers
Grande Anse is one of the favorites for locals and visitors alike because of the turtles that travel up and down the sand to lay their eggs. The water and sand may not be as white and clear as some of the other beaches in St Lucia, but it is still a beautiful spot to checkout where you can enjoy nature as well as being able to work on your tan.
Anse de Sables Beach – best for the adventurer
With the constant winds at Anse de Sables in Vieux Fort, it makes for one of the best beaches for those who want to get a little daring and try windsurfing or other types of water sports. If you are looking to something more adventurous and don’t want to just lay on the beach, this may be the best beach for you.
You can’t really go wrong with the beaches in St. Lucia, but finding the one that suits your needs will help make your trip extra special.
