  • What can you tell me about Apple Vacations?

What can you tell me about Apple Vacations?

    Experience the Difference
For almost 40 years, Apple Vacations has provided the most value in vacations to millions of people. Throughout the years, they have provided what you want in a vacation – great service, convenience, and value. They understand just how important your vacation is. They know because, like you, vacations are important to them too.

It All Started with An Idea
One of the nation’s first charter vacation companies, Apple Vacations was founded in 1969. Their founders saw an opportunity to bring passengers to exotic locations at a fraction of the cost that the big airlines were charging. At that time, international travel was considered an expensive luxury. Apple Vacations believed that by providing quality vacations at affordable prices, thry would fill an unmet need in the travel industry. To achieve their lowest prices, they assumed the risk, chartered aircraft and guaranteed hotels that they could fill their rooms, Apple Vacations began building the nation’s largest provider of vacations to Mexico, Caribbean and Hawaii. In the late 1970s, the company became one of the first to introduce the concept of “all-inclusive vacations” to the U.S. market. They were also one of the first to introduce three and four night vacations, in response to people’s desire for shorter, more frequent vacations.

In 1997, just after celebrating their one-millionth passenger arrival in Cancun, Apple Vacations saw an opportunity in a relatively young vacation destination known as Punta Cana. With their support and guidance on what the U.S. vacationer wanted, Punta Cana is now one of the hottest vacation spots in the Caribbean. In 2006, they brought passenger one million to Punta Cana, more than any other North American travel company.

    And the Vision Continues
Apple Vacations is now a company of almost 2,000 energetic, hardworking employees with the same entrepreneurial attitudes as their founders. Headquartered just outside Philadelphia with regional offices in Chicago, San Jose, and Boston, the company is completely focused on providing quality vacations for their customers. Employees are empowered to make decisions that impact the quality of their customers’ vacations on a daily basis. Since their humble beginnings, Apple Vacations has created the ultimate “beginning-to-end” vacation experience for customers. Apple Vacations employees will greet you at your departure airport in more than 20 cities; and will meet your flight in their charter destinations. Apple Vacations’ sister companies, USA3000 Airlines, flies customers to their destinations from more than 20 U.S. cities; and Amstar, is the destination management company in-resort with uniformed representatives, who will greet you upon arrival and assist you while you are at your resort. Unlike any other travel company, Apple Vacations truly provides the ultimate in a quality vacation experience.

  • What airlines does Funjet Vacations use?

What airlines does Funjet Vacations use?

    Airline Suppliers
Funjet Vacations sells both charter program flights and scheduled commercial flights along with our hotel accommodations and transportation. By offering travel options on chartered and scheduled airlines, Funjet Vacations accommodates your needs and makes planning your vacation easy.

    Charter Airfare
Funjet Vacations isn't an airline and they don't own any planes. They contract with charter airlines for the use of their aircraft to various destinations. They provide the passengers and the airline provides everything else that goes with your flight. Because they contract in large volumes, they are able to pass significant savings on to you. Many of the planes they lease will have the Funjet Vacations name on them. The difference between a "scheduled" flight and a charter flight is that charter flights are scheduled on certain days each week and may not depart every day as scheduled airlines do. An example of a charter pattern is Thursday/Sunday, which departs Thursday and comes home Sunday. The same passengers go and return together on the same aircraft and everyone on the plane is on vacation. Typically, most charter flights are nonstop so you get to your destination much faster giving you more time to enjoy your vacation. Charter flights adhere to the same stringent safety standards as commercial airlines (such as American, Continental, and the other major carriers).

For lower fares, nonstop flights and great value, Funjet Vacations offers charter flights with Ryan International Airlines, Midwest Airlines, and Southwest Airlines. Each of these airlines has a superior reputation for safety, reliability and friendly service, complemented with fleets that are among the most reliable and most well maintained in the industry. The charter airlines we deal with use various types of aircraft including mostly 737's, 757's, and A320's which seat approximately 170-210 passengers depending upon plane type.

New Planes! Not Your Typical Charter Airplanes
Many of their airline carriers have newer state-of-the-art, more fuel efficient fleet which allows us to lower their fuel costs and pass the savings on to you. On average, these Boeing 737-800, B757 and A320 planes have a seat pitch of 31", which means more legroom and more comfort when you are traveling. Wide, comfortable seats are arranged three across on both sides of the aisle on these aircraft, and coupled with ourtheir unparalleled service, you will enjoy a fun-filled vacation!

    Scheduled Airfare
For the ultimate flexibility at affordable prices, they offer scheduled air packages via Air Jamaica, Air Tran, Alaska Airlines, Aloha Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Midwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways. Funjet Vacations is proud to offer vacation packages on several of the highest quality and most respected airlines operating today. With their wide selection of available airfare, you will surely find the schedule and product that best suits your needs. Complemented with their high volume purchasing of hotel accommodations, we feel confident that Funjet Vacations can fill your vacation needs for the best price available.
